Join Billy T. Cattan Recovery Outreach as an Outpatient Counselor, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to diverse populations.

In this position, you will provide individual and group counseling within outpatient settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to support clients on their journey toward recovery. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
• Implement motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care to support clients with co-occurring disorders and complex mental health needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards while maintaining accurate medical records.
• Facilitate intake processes and coordinate case management services to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy services while maintaining high-quality clinical standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, criminal justice professionals, case managers, recovery coaches, medical providers, educators, and families—to optimize treatment outcomes and support client success.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Current Texas LPC, LCSW, or LCDC license or certification.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience in outpatient behavioral health with knowledge of clinical documentation standards.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong crisis intervention and behavior management skills.
• Experience providing telehealth services using secure platforms.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations throughout the recovery process while demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
