Featured Speaker: Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson
Thomas Hollywood Henderson
Thomas Henderson is a resilient and inspiring individual whose life reflects both remarkable athletic achievement and profound personal growth. A former professional football linebacker, Henderson was a first-round draft pick in the 1975 NFL Draft and went on to build a standout career, most notably with the Dallas Cowboys. Known for his speed, charisma, and playmaking ability, he competed in three Super Bowls, including helping secure a victory in Super Bowl XII.
Beyond the field, Thomas faced significant personal challenges that ultimately led him to a life-changing turning point. After entering rehabilitation, he committed to a new path and has maintained 42 years of sobriety since November 8, 1983 an extraordinary milestone that speaks to his discipline, resilience, and strength of character.
In a remarkable twist of fortune, Henderson also won the lottery not once, but twice an experience he used not for personal excess, but as an opportunity to give back. Deeply connected to his roots in Austin, Texas, where he was born, he has dedicated time and resources to supporting children and youth programs in the community. His efforts have helped create opportunities, mentorship, and hope for countless young people.
Today, Henderson is not only remembered for his impact in professional football, but also respected for his unwavering commitment to recovery, generosity, and service. His story is one of perseverance, redemption, and purpose demonstrating that true success lies in the ability to overcome adversity and uplift others along the way.

What is Hope Ranch?
Hope Ranch is where people come to find life. As an inpatient facility, together, we are able to rebuild the lives of and serve indigent, jobless, homeless, uninsured and underinsured individuals.
Through the stages of detoxification, rehabilitation, and aftercare, Hope Ranch is meant to help enrich the quality of life for all who enter our doors. Believe it or not, addiction affects us all. When addiction is treated promptly, the financial burden that is placed upon our local healthcare, judicial, and law enforcement systems can be alleviated.
Hope Ranch works to take a proactive approach to help those return back to the life they were meant to live.
